I am currently a PhD Candidate at University of Illinois, Chicago in Hispanic Literary and Cultural Studies at the dissertation stage. I am moving to CT for a fellowship to complete the dissertation and will be available in the Storrs/Mansfield area starting August 15, 2013 During my undergraduate and graduate careers, I have tutored both young and old alike. As an undergraduate, I tutored through America Reads in Minneapolis. I enjoyed working with children in an after-school setting helping with reading and writing. As a graduate student, I tutored adults who were interested in learning Spanish through conversation and grammar practice. I would like to continue tutoring because I enjoy helping others and as a teacher, I also look forward to the exchange of ideas and knowledge between individuals.
